KKP appealed to the public to strengthen the activities of entrepreneurship in the marine and fisheries sector. This is considered important because the water resources in Indonesia is very potential to be developed.

Secretary of KKP Marine and Fishery Research and Fisheries Human Resources, Maman Hermawan stated that KKP through contribution of Balai Pelatihan dan Penyuluhan Perikanan (BPPP) Tegal held "Training of Trainer" (ToT) Apprenticeship of Marine and Fishery for 2018 Apprenticeship Candidate for period July 12 to July 15, 2018.
Throughout the ToT event, participants will be given educational materials related to the field and then run the competency test on the last day of the training event to determine the level of progress that occurred in the participants.
The participants consisted of 32 personnel from Pusat Pelatihan Mandiri Kelautan dan Perikanan (P2MKP) and from several provinces in Indonesia, which are Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta and West Kalimantan.
Maman Hermawan explained that this shared socialization and entrepreneurship training is important to form entrepreneurship frame for the community because this is in line with the direction of President Joko Widodo.
Maman also explained that the purpose of the training is to improve the knowledge, skills and attitudes of trainees in the field of competence of entrepreneurship and apprenticeship management. Not to mention these activities also prepared the mentors to have competence in managing apprenticeship, finance finance administration to accountable accounting reporting in order to minimize violations or errors in audit findings.
In addition, he continued, he chose P2MKP as a place of apprenticeship among others to spread the success tips that are owned in building a business. (Damar Senoaji / AFN)
