Kuala Enok Fishermen Receive Assistance for Fishing Equipment Fleet from KKP

Kelompok Nelayan Usaha Bersama Sehati of Kuala Enok, Tanah Merah Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency received assistance from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) in the form of 14 units of 0.5 GT engine Motorboats and 750 special assistance for small fishermen such as catching crabs for small fishermen in Tanah Merah District area.

Representative of the Directorate of Small Islands Island Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries DR. Ahmad Haris handed over the aid directly to the Regent of Inhil HM Wardan MP which was then handed over to the head of the Fishermen's Business Together Sehati in the village of Kuala Enok, Tanah Merah Subdistrict, Indragiri Hilir District, Sunday (08/08).

Member of DPRD Inhil Andi Rusli Head of Fisheries Office Drs. H. Mukthar. T, MH Camat, Kapolsek, Babinsa, local community leaders were witnesses when assistance was handed over.

Inhil Regent HM Wardan MP hopes that fishermen who are members of the Kelompok Nelayan Usaha Bersama Sehati (Kube Sehati) who are in Kuala Lumpur are grateful with the help of the canoe pump and equipment so as to maximize the use of the assistance provided.

"So for this to be used as well as possible and the most important for us fishermen we together to preserve the environment of our river," said the regent.

With this assistance the regent invited fishermen to preserve nature and no one else used poisons, stun, electricity, etc. to catch fish and shrimp.

DR. Ahmad Haris supports and hopes that the Inhil district government with assistance can support the use of KKP assistance, especially that Inhil has the largest mangrove forest in Indonesia.

"This assistance as a first step in the future we are more conceptualizing how the steps are taken to materialize and the wishes of the Inhil government as the center of Indonesian crabs," said DR. Ahmad Haris.

Meanwhile, Fitriadi, SE as Chair of the Business Group with Sehati expressed his gratitude to the regent, the Fisheries Service, and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries who provided assistance in the form of fishing gear provided and hoped that this assistance could help the economy of the local community.
