The appearance of Parrot Fish can change during the phase of its life. During the initial phase, Parrot Fish has reddish to brown color. There are also six to seven horizontal lines which are dark throughout the body and red-finned. Besides, during the final phase, the male Parrot Fish has more bright color in the back of the body and the lower part of the head. The caydal fin looks greenish blue with large orange and crescent shaped area.
