Providing Healthy Fish Products, Komira Participated in KKP Ramadan Bazaar

On Sunday June 3, 2018, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia (Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan Indonesia) held another Ramadan Bazaar themed “Safari Gerakan Memasyarakatkan Makan Ikan (Gemarikan) dan Pasar Ikan Ramadan” (Fish Consumption Movements & Ramadan Fish Market) in Sarinah Building, Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

The bazaar was a joint program between KKP with Forum Peningkatan Konsumsi Ikan (Forikan), Asosiasi Chef Profesional, Kongres Wanita Indonesia (Kowani), Yayasan Jantung Indonesia, Ikatan Bidan Indonesia (IBI) and companies in Fishery Industry, PT Intimas Surya, PT Cidea, PT Balimaya Permai, PT Lucky Samudera, PT CPP, KOMIRA, and PT Kelola Mina Last along with 20 UKM (Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises) in marine and fisheries products.

KOMIRA has been participated in this series of Safari Gemarikan events and Ramadan Fish Market since May 18 last and will last until June 8, 2018 in the Greater Jakarta area.

This event is a part of government’s fish consumption movements in Indonesia. For this year alone KKP targeting about 50,65 kg fish consumption in Indonesian, up from 47.34 kg per capita per year.

In this bazaar KOMIRA came along with their selections products of fresh frozen fish such as Seed Mackerel (Ikan Layang), Cob (Ikan Tongkol), Baby Tuna, Mackerel, and Skipjack (Ikan Cakalang).

The government also ensure the availability of fish stocks in order to welcome Idul Fitri Day.This event also expected to lowered Indonesia’s dependency on fish products from outside (import).
